Essex Facilitates Sale of Mixed-Use Building in Winnetka
Essex Realty Group, Inc. recently facilitated the sale of 910-914 Green Bay Road, a mixed-use building located in Winnetka.
The seller, a local investor, hired the brokerage team of Jim Darrow and Jordan Gottlieb to exclusively market the property for sale. Essex led an extensive marketing campaign resulting in several tours. The property ultimately sold to a local investor for $3,180,000 which equates to $361 PSF. Essex Director Rick Ofman represented the buyer.
“This was an excellent opportunity for an investor looking for a fully occupied newer retail-dominant building in a rarely available location in the upscale suburb of Winnetka. The property was ideally located in the center of Hubbard Woods, the three-block strip, known to Winnetka locals as the Hubbard Wood Design District. It is filled with a plethora of charming retail and restaurant options such as Serena and Lily at the end of the block, Towne & Oak across the street, Spirit Elephant a few doors down, and Once Upon A Bagel around the corner,” explains Essex Principal Jim Darrow, who led the sales initiative.
The two-story property consists of five units; four commercial spaces and one apartment. The award-winning building was erected in 2009 and includes an elevator and nine outdoor parking spaces. The commercial spaces are currently leased to CORA, a top-10 national operator of outpatient physical therapy services, Myers Optometrics, Albatross Wine Company, a high-end wine distributor and the building’s newest tenant, Lana Jewelry. The one bed/one bath apartment features stainless steel appliances, quartz counters and central HVAC.Read Full Article at RE Journals
