Essex Realty Group, Inc. Promotes Brian Kochendorfer to President of Firm

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS –Essex Realty Group, Inc., the Chicago-based commercial real estate brokerage firm, announced that Brian Kochendorfer has been promoted to the role of the firm’s President. He has also become the firm’s newest partner.

Brian joined Essex in 2014 as Director, focusing on the sale of multifamily assets in the Chicago MSA. Brian went on to lead Essex’ successful suburban team. In 2020, Brian was promoted to the role of Managing Broker, where he has overseen the management and training of Essex’ brokerage team.

Brian has been an integral part of Essex since joining the company nearly a decade ago and has been a catalyst for much of the company’s recent growth, including sequential years of record sales volume.

Brian is replacing Doug Imber, who has served as Essex’ President for more than three decades.  Imber, who is remaining with Essex, said “Brian’s acumen, steadiness, integrity, vision, and commitment to the service of others make him an ideal choice to lead Essex.”
