September 20, 2022

Chicago-based multifamily brokerage firm Essex Realty Group, Inc. recently facilitated the sale of 1007 North Winchester Avenue, a 6-unit multifamily property located in Chicago’s popular Ukrainian Village neighborhood.

A multifamily team comprised of Jim Darrow, Jordan Gottlieb and Sarah Rider exclusively marketed the property for sale. The Essex team led an extensive marketing campaign resulting in several tours and multiple offers. The property ultimately sold to a local investor for $1,575,000, which equates to $262,500 per unit.

1007 North Winchester Avenue is a 4-unit brick apartment building with a two-unit duplexed coach house. The units underwent a full rehab in 2016, and include hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, granite counters, updated bathrooms, individual HVAC & in-unit laundry. The property is situated just north of Augusta Boulevard and is within walking distance to both Chicago Avenue & Division Street, making this a highly coveted address close to all Ukrainian Village, Wicker Park & Bucktown have to offer.

The property went under contract within less than 60 days, and Essex Director Abe Eilian represented the buyer.
