Essex Realty Group Brokers Sale of 87 Units in Oak Park

212 S. Oak Park Ave. and 37 Harrison St. – two multifamily buildings featured in a premier apartment building investing opportunity

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS– Chicago-based multifamily brokerage firm, Essex Realty Group, LLC, announced the sale of two apartment buildings, totaling 87 units, in Oak Park:212 S. Oak Park Ave. and 37 Harrison St. Essex Principal Brian Karmowski represented both the buyer and the seller of the transaction.

Both buildings feature Oak Park’s signature historic architecture with vintage detail and have been well-maintained by former ownership. 212 S. Oak Park Ave. was built in 1928 and consists of 51 apartment units while 37 Harrison St. was built in 1926 and is comprised of 36 units.

“The successful sale showcases Oak Park’s continued interest from multifamily investors due to its central location, abundant local amenities, and proximity to numerous employment centers,” said Brian Karmowski, Principal at Essex Realty Group, LLC.

The properties are both located just minutes from the CTA Green Line, Metra, and several bus routes. Additionally, Interstate 290, which connects residents directly to downtown Chicago and the western suburbs, is located just south of the properties. This ideal location offers residents convenient proximity to Oak Park’s wide array of entertainment, nightlife, retail, and amenities.

The transaction was facilitated entirely off the Market and sold for $10,270,000.
