Essex Realty Group Announces Karla Galva and Jimmy Donahue’s Promotion to Director

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — Chicago-based multifamily brokerage firm Essex Realty Group, LLC is pleased to announce the promotions of Karla Galva and Jimmy Donahue to Director.

Leadership Promotions at Essex Realty Group

Karla Galva joined Essex Realty Group in 2022 as an Associate on the suburban team and has steadily advanced within the organization. During her tenure, she has become a key contributor to the firm’s suburban investment sales platform, with a primary focus on asset valuation, market research, and business development for multifamily and mixed-use investment real estate.

Her analytical expertise and strategic market insight have supported the continued growth of Essex’s suburban brokerage presence. Through consistent production, market knowledge, and a strong commitment to her clients, Karla has established herself as a leading multifamily broker in the Chicago suburbs.

In addition to her brokerage work, Karla performs as a professional violinist in concert halls and theaters throughout Chicago.

Expanding the Suburban Multifamily Brokerage Team

Jimmy Donahue joined Essex Realty Group in 2024 and has quickly become a valuable member of the firm’s suburban team. His focus is on the acquisition and disposition of multifamily properties throughout the South and West suburbs of Chicago, where he advises clients on investment opportunities and disposition strategies.

Over his career, Jimmy has been involved in more than $41 million in multifamily investment real estate transactions totaling over 510 units. Through consistent results, extensive market insight, and a relationship-driven approach, he has developed a strong reputation within the Chicago suburban multifamily market.

Outside of work, Jimmy enjoys playing golf, working out, and exploring Chicago’s food scene.
