Ukrainian Village Apartment Building Trades Hands

September 29, 2021

Chicago-based multifamily brokerage firm Essex Realty Group, Inc. recently facilitated the sale of 2131 W. Ohio Street located in Chicago’s Ukrainian Village neighborhood. Situated on the south side of Ohio Street, between Leavitt Street and Hoyne Avenue, sits this beautifully renovated four-unit Greystone apartment building comprised of one- and three-bedroom units.

The seller, a local investor, hired Essex Director Matt Feo to exclusively market this property for sale. The property sold to a local investor for $1,260,000, which equates to $315,000 per unit.

Each unit was completely renovated to include large open floorplans, gourmet kitchens with quartz countertops, tile backsplashes, custom light fixtures and stainless-steel appliances, and in-unit washer/dryer.

“This was a unique opportunity to acquire a handsome, turn-key Greystone, with parking, in a highly desirable and appreciating residential location,” explained Feo. He continued, “furthermore, the apartments feature massive front to back layouts and had been renovated by a luxury home building so the quality of finishes are to a higher quality than typical apartment grade finishes.”
